MUMBAI: They say 'Time & Tide waits for no man'. In this case its ace director Vipul Shah who is particular about punctuality & hates to wait for others. Look who has to bear the brunt of his staunch commitment towards time. None other than the Bachchan bahu Aishwarya, who repeatedly reported late to the sets of ACTION REPLAY co-starring Akshay Kumar. According to reports, Shah was forced to impart Ash a lesson on significance of punctuality.

It is heard that Ash would turn up late to the sets at ND Studios, Karjat. On days when she came on time, she would spend most of her time doing up her hair, make-up and clothes while everybody kept waiting for her, disrupting the entire schedule.

One day when Ash came to the sets, changed into her costume, & was ready to shoot, it seems Vipul shot for around a minute before declaring pack-up. Ash was aghast that Vipul had made her get ready only to shoot with her for a minute. On expressing her displeasure, Vipul explained to her as to why this was done. Well, all we can say to Ash is -'a stitch in time saves nine!'

Mr. Kennedy Released From WWE

Mr. Kennedy: a guy who at one time was on the fast track to becoming a world champion in WWE, has been released, the company announced on its Web site earlier this evening.

There are no details as to why Kennedy was let go, but the most obvious assumption is that it’s due to his inability to stay healthy. After being out nine months with a dislocated shoulder, Kennedy returned to TV Monday in a 10-man tag team match on Raw and reportedly suffered a wrist injury during the match.

It was the latest in a string of injuries for Kennedy, 33, during his four years in WWE. Two months after winning the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania 23 in 2007 – which most likely would have led to a world title run – he suffered a torn triceps.

When I asked Kennedy about his history of injuries in an interview this past January, he dismissed the suggestion that he was injury prone.

“You know, I’ve heard all the ‘Oh, Kennedy’s injury prone’ and all that stuff, but there are certain things that happen, and if you knew the whole story you wouldn’t necessarily think that,” he said. “I’ve just been in the wrong place at the wrong time. But it is frustrating. I had the Money in the Bank and was on the way to becoming a world champion and then injury struck. And it’s just been one thing after the other, but I just keep my head up. I was told a long time ago that if you have talent you cannot be denied and eventually good things will happen.”

During his relatively short time in wrestling, Kennedy has been somewhat of a controversial figure. Not long after he was adamant in a 2007 interview that he had not taken steroids since he signed with WWE, Kennedy was one of 10 WWE wrestlers suspended 30 days for violating the company’s Wellness Policy. The suspension came after he was among the wrestlers named in a report by Sports Illustrated as having received steroids and/or human growth hormone through Signature Pharmacy, a Florida pharmaceutical company that was under investigation.

Kennedy is definitely right about one thing, though: He has talent, and I will be shocked if he doesn’t end up in TNA.

Angelina Jolie hospitalized for minor injury

Actress Angelina Jolie was hospitalized briefly on Friday after suffering a minor injury while shooting an action sequence in Long Island, New York, for her upcoming film "Salt," the studio behind the film said.

Her hospitalization was a "precautionary measure," and she was soon out of the medical facility and back on the set, said a spokesman for Columbia Pictures.

Jolie, who was nominated for a best actress Oscar for her role last year in "Changeling," is in a romantic partnership with actor Brad Pitt. The globe-trotting couple, dubbed Brangelina in the media, is raising six children together.

Spy thriller "Salt" is expected to be released next year.

Hollie steel breakdown

It was the battle of the pint-sized performers on Britain’s Got Talent last night as 12-year-old dancer Aidan Davis took on ten-year-old singer Hollie Steel for a place in the grand final.

Davis won the public vote to go straight through to tonight's final, while the judges were forced to choose between Hollie and Welsh waiter Greg Pritchard.

The judges voted the little girl through, praising her courage after she returned to the stage for a second performance.

She had initially fled the stage in a flood of tears during her performance of Edelweiss after nerves got the better of her.

Judge Piers Morgan said: 'Greg, you are unique but that was one (Hollie's song) of the most courageous things I have seen. It moved me to tears.'

Holden added: 'It wasn't just that she came back on stage, it was that her performance was better.'

Tonight Show

Jay Leno ended his run as host of the "Tonight Show" Friday, which he began 17 years ago after taking over from Johnny Carson. He was greeted by a large standing ovation from the audience to begin the show, and he concluded the evening by inviting on stage all the children who had been born to people who had met while working on the program (which turned out to be 68!). During his monologue he made sure to thank all the people that had made it possible over the years: "Michael Jackson, Monica Lewinsky and Bill Clinton." And in one of the sweetest lines of the night he talked about how he was proud to be "leaving this dance with the same girl I came in with."

Conan O'Brien, who will be taking over "Tonight Show" duties on Monday, was Leno's final guest. James Taylor was the last musical guest.

Coming all the way from Milwaukee is Danny Gokey. The 28 year old loves Lauren Hill and the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Finally, Adam Lambert, who is a personal favorite, admires a number of singers including Lady Ga Ga, Beyonce, Lenny Kravitz, David Bowie and Michael Jackson, just to name a few.
