Gatti, Amanda Rodrigues has been taken into custody after her
husband was found slain to death in his
hotel room in North east Brazil on Saturday.
23-year old Amanda
Rodrigues was on holiday with husband Arturo
Gatti and their 1-year-old son when the body of
Gatti was discovered at the Porto
de Galinhas, Brazil
resort.
Amanda Rodrigues full name is Amanda Carine Barbosa Rodrigues.
Reports say local investigators took Amanda Rodrigues in for questioning a second time after there were inconsistencies in Amanda Rodrigues' statements. However reports later said Amanda Rodrigues denied that she had any involvement in her pro-boxing husband's passing .
Gatti was reportedly found in the holiday apartment complex Amanda Rodrigues and her husband were staying.

Reports say Amanda Rodrigues claims that she was in the resort complex for 10 hours with the couples son without noticing the body of her husband and there were also reports the couple were fighting, with the relationship between the married pair deteriorating recently.
The couple, Artura Gatti and Amanda Rodrigues, were said to have rented the resort apartment for a month for a "second honeymoon."
Boxer Arturo Gatti met dancer Amanda Carine Barbosa Rodrigues when she was studying international relations at College in New Jersey. Amanda Rodrigues worked as an exotic dancer to pay the bills. Gatti and Amanda Rodrigues dated for two years before they married.
According to Amanda
Rodrigues statement, she claims she woke up on the morning of July 11 and claimed to have found
Gatti with damage to the back of his head and strangle marks on his neck.
When police arrived on the scene, a bloody purse strap was discovered in the room. It is thought
Gatti was
deliberately strangled to death with the purse strap. A
Brazilian media conference was told
Amana Rodrigues was the main suspect in the incident.

Born in Italy and naturalized as a Canadian, Arturo "Thunder"
Gatti rose to fame as a boxer in the mid 1990's and by the early 2000's he was a well known name globally.
Gatti's career spanned 49
fights and he won 40 of them, 31 by knockout.
Back in March 2009,
Gatti was charged with assaulting Amanda
Rodrigues. After failing to appear in court a judge ordered
Gatti to stay 200 meters or more from Amanda
Rodrigues. Despite this Amanda
Rodrigues, a
Brazilian national, married her apparently abusive partner.
