LAHORE: The mastermind of the attack on Sri Lankan cricket team in March has been arrested in Lahore, ARY NEWS reported on Wednesday.
The mastermind identified as Aqil with the alias of Dr. Usman has confessed that he was planning attacks in the country when arrested in Lahore.
Police said suicide jackets, explosives and arms from Aqil who belonged to Punjabi Taliban Tehreek, an unknown outfit, were discovered.
The Sri Lankan cricket team was attacked by gunmen in Lahore on March 3, leaving seven people including five policemen dead and six Sri Lankan players injured.
