Carrie Underwood Christmas Special, It will be a Carrie Underwood country Christmas when the Grammy Award-winning recording artist invites Dolly Parton, Brad Paisley, Kristin Chenoweth and “American Idol” winner David Cook to join her on FOX’s “Carrie Underwood: All-Star Holiday Special.” “A lot of my friends are coming to perform with me, or be on the show in some way or another,” Carrie tells ET. “Dolly Parton. Oh, my gosh. She’s one of my idols and I get to sing with her. Having people like that, that I’ve always looked up to, I’ve always respected, and like I said, some of my friends, so it’s a lot of fun.”

The “Carrie Underwood: All-Star Holiday Special” will include music from her recently released Play On CD, which is No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Albums chart, as well as previous chart-topping hits and holiday classics.
“It’s kind of a mishmash special,” she continues. “Christmas, variety, a lot of my new music, a lot of guests coming on and performing with me, so I get to sing some other people’s songs, some skits and stuff like that.”

As for her recent single “Cowboy Casanova” with its very sexy video, Carrie says, “I think the song itself is very sexy and we wanted the video to be sexy but regal: The corsets and all the detailing and stuff on the corsets and the lighting and everything. We were in New Orleans, so it was these beautiful, old, very historic buildings that were just gorgeous. We wanted it to be sexy, but in a really edgy kind of way.” The “Carrie Underwood: All-Star Holiday Special” will air Monday, Dec. 7 from 8 to 10 p.m. on FOX.
