“Good Girls Go Bad” is a song recorded by American Pop punk band Cobra Starship with guest vocals by Leighton Meester. It was the first single released from their third studio album, Hot Mess. The song was released digitally through iTunes on May 11, 2009. On May 8, 2009, “Good Girls Go Bad” made its radio debut on KIIS-FM with Ryan Seacrest’s show.
The song was produced by American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi and Kevin Rudolf. The song has enjoyed great success in the U.S., reaching number 7 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. The song has started getting heavy airplay in Canada as well, debuting at 21 on Canada’s radio airplay chart “Canadian Hit 30″ on the issue date of July 25, 2009. The song also debuted on Radio 1 in the UK in September 2009. As a reference to Leighton Meester’s vocals, the track was used on Gossip Girl for several scenes where her character, Blair Waldorf, is portrayed on the episode “The Freshmen”. This song was also used in Greek’s “Friend or Foe?”

Cobra Starship is kicking off 2010 with a performance on The Peoples Choice Awards, set to air live, January 6th at 8pm EST on CBS.
The band will perform a medley of their latest single, “Hot Mess,” and their platinum certified hit, “Good Girls Go Bad,” both from their latest studio effort, Hot Mess. Special guest Nicole Scherzinger will lend her vocal talents and accompany the band during the performance.
