Mirpur: India Vs Bangladesh Cricket Score, Skipper Shakib Al Hasan got a much desperate breakthrough for his team as he got Virat Kohli for a score of ninety one runs after his partnership with Dhoni threatened to run away with the match.

A centurion partnership between skipper MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli got India back on track even though the required run-rate climbed up. The effort got India past the 150-run mark.

This came after India had dug a big hole for themselves as the top order fell like a pack of cards, the third to fall being Yuvraj Singh. It was agony after heartbreak as the opening pair went out without delivering with Gautam Gambhir getting clean bowled at a score of eighteen runs after India had suffered the first jolt of run-chase with a terrible display of running between the wickets by Virender Sehwag.

It was Mahmudullah’s quick-fire fifty had helped Bangladesh post their highest ever ODI total against India as the scorecard read 296/6 at the end of the stipulated overs. Tamim Iqbal and Imrul Kayes also played a pivotal role in the achievement of the total.

It was a superb batting display by the ‘minnows’ who continued with their evolution in the ODI arena.

The middle overs did get India halting the scoring spree as half of the batting line-up was back in the pavilion. With the score above 200 runs and ten overs to go, the hosts were set for a showdown with the Indian death bowling being a bone of contention for the Men in Blue, and it did yield runs with Sreesanth really left smarting in the final over.

The day wasn’t glorious for skipper Shakib Al Hasan as he suffered the ignominy of being out for a duck, and that too the mode of a run out.

The start was great for the hosts as opener Tamim Iqbal had started festivities hitting runs at will, but finally fell at a score of 60 off 42 balls to Sreesanth.

The good start had forced MS Dhoni to bring in the spinners before the tenth over to contain batsmen but the move could not yield any results.
