Latest updates Pants On The Ground Eemix: Pants On The Ground Original Jimmy Fallon has given a country touch to “Pants on the Ground”. On the Friday, January 15 edition of “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon“, the comedian drew laughters when covering the self-penned song popularized by “American Idol” reject General Larry Platt on the singing competition’s Atlanta audition.

Dressed in brown jacket and cowboy hat completed with acoustic guitar on hands, the former “Saturday Night Live” regular got into the character as veteran rocker Neil Young. He took the stage, delivering a mournful rendition of the bizzare song, which “Idol” judge Simon Cowell has commented, “I have a feeling it would be a hit.”

This is not the first time Jimmy Fallon impersonated Neil Young to cover a song. The actor who played “Hot Tub” Johnny Rocket in “Whip It!” has previously taken on the veteran singer character to cover the theme song of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”.
