Clash of The Titans Review

Clash of The Titans Review, In 1981, MGM released “Clash of the Titans.” a wonderfully cheesy film about Greek mythological gods. Starring Harry Hamlin as a baby-faced Perseus and featuring the gimmicky, but charming stop-motion creations of Ray Harryhausen, “Clash” knew it was a big hunk o’cinematic cheddar. Moreover, Hamlin’s co-stars — which included the likes of classically-trained actors like Laurence Olivier and Maggie Smith — seemed to be in on the joke as well, the combination of which resulted in a hokey, but thoroughly entertaining film.

Fast forward nearly 30 years. This week, Warner Bros is releasing a “Clash of the Titans’ remake, with “Avatar” star Sam Worthingon in Hamlin’s old role of Perseus, and Liam Neeson and Rafe Fiennes as quarreling mythological god brothers Zeus and Hades. The plot involves Perseus going on a quest to avenge his parents, having to slay, along the way, such CGI beasties as Medusa and the Kraken
