Kolkata Knight Riders beat Delhi Daredevils by 6 wickets

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) beat Delhi Daredevis by six wickets with eight balls remaining in the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Feroze Shah Kotla Ground here tonight.

 

Batting first, Delhi Daredevils put up 153 for nine from their 20 overs with Irfan Pathan topscoring with 36 and Mahela Jayawardene contributing 30. Skipper Virender Sehwag made 23 and his opening partner Warner 20.Kolkata Knight Riders beat Delhi Daredevils 

 

In reply, KKR made 154 for four in 18.4 overs, with Brendan McCullum topscoring with 56 and skipper Gautam Gambhir making 36. Jacques Kallis made 30.

 

This was the sixth consecutive win for KKR in the tournament. For Daredevils, this their second defeat at home this season so far and the third of the tournament. Both teams have eight wins and three losses now, though Delhi have an extra game left.
