WWE Royal Rumble YouTube Exclusive Pre-Show
The YouTube Preshow begins with Tony Dawson and Matt Striker welcoming us to the show.
They run down the scheduled matches for the show.
We go to the back where Josh Matthews is interviewing The Big Show. They recap how Alberto del Rio became the World Champion on Smackdown. The Big Show is angry that they showed the title change. The Big Show says that Alberto del Rio hit the lottery when he won the title. The Big Show vows to become the World Champion again tonight.
A “By the Numbers” hype video for the Royal Rumble Match is shown.
Antonio Cesaro makes his way down to the ring with the title around his waist and an American flag in his hands.
The Miz makes his entrance as they recap the confrontation between Ric Flair, The Miz, and Antonio Cesaro on RAW a few weeks back.
WWE United States Championship Match
Antonio Cesaro vs The Miz
The Miz goes for a quick roll up and gets a one count as the match gets underway. Antonio begins to work over The Miz’s arm and hits a shoulder block. Cesaro poses but gets hit with an elbow by The Miz. Cesaro locks The Miz in a headlock and nails The Miz with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Cesaro slows the pace and has The Miz in a double arm lock. Cesaro hits The Miz with a Body Slam Driver for two before hitting the Miz with a vicious elbow. Cesaro is dominated The Miz and hits the Cesaro slam before sending The Miz into the corner. The Miz gets laid out with another backbreaker for two and Cesaro stomps on The Miz’s chest.
Cesaro goes back to the double arm lock but The Miz reverses into his double neckbreaker combo. Miz and Cesaro trade punch after punch until the ref pulls the apart in the corner. The Miz hits his corner clothesline and goes up top. The Miz gets clipped in the leg and he comes off the top. The Miz rolls up Cesaro but sells the damage to his legs. The Miz hits a chopblock and the crown Woo’s. Cesaro tries to escape under the ring but The Miz goes after him. Cesaro hits The Miz with the steel setup of the ring and rolls The Miz back into the ring, hits the Neutralizer, and gets the win.
WINNER and STILL United States Champion: Antonio Cesaro
Striker and Dawson run down the card once again and a hype video for the WWE Championship Match as the Pre-Show goes off the air.
WWE Royal Rumble 2013 PPV
The opening hype video for The Royal Rumble is shown as the show comes on the air. The WWE Championship match is the main focus of the hype video.
The opening pyro lights up the arena as Michael Cole welcomes us to the Royal Rumble. He is joined on commentary by JBL and Jerry “The King” Lawler.
Lillian Garcia is in the ring and announces that the World Title Match will kick off the show.
The Big Show makes is way down to the ring as they recap again how Alberto del Rio became the World Champion.
Alberto del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez are backstage and interrupted by Bret “The Hitman” Hart. Bret calls Alberto the “Mexican Bret Hart.” Bret gives Ricardo a pair of Hitman glasses.
Ricardo comes out and mimics Bret Hart for a second before introducing Alberto del Rio who comes down the aisle instead of in a car.
Alberto del Rio gives a little kid in the crowd his scarf as he walks down the ramp way and gets into the ring.
World Heavyweight Championship Match
Last Man Standing Match
Alberto del Rio (c) vs The Big Show
The Big Show rams Alberto into the corner and hits him with his frying pan hand. Show then drags Del Rio to another corner and does it again. Alberto comes off the middle rope but gets hit with a punch to the midsection. As The Big Show was setting up for the Spear, Alberto goes low and cuts show off at the legs as the crowd chants, “Si”. The Big Show goes for a powerbomb but Alberto reverses into a hurricanrana. Alberto goes up top and hits a seated senton. Del Rio hits his corner enziguri and goes for his armbreaker. The Big Show simply lifts Del Rio up and slams him to the mat. They are on the outside and The Big Show slaps Alberto’s chest. The Big Show grabs a steel chair and brings it into the ring. As Show was about to hit Del Rio, he is stopped and Del Rio has the chair. He beats the Giant to the ground as the ref counts. Show has Del Rio by the throat and hits a chokeslam and the ref counts. Alberto is able to get to his feet.
On the outside once again, Show bodyslams Del Rio on the concrete. Del Rio hits Show in the balls and then kicks show in the skull. The ref begins to count but The Big Show gets up. Show and Del Rio are at the beginning of the entrance area. Show throws Del Rio into a piece of the structure. Show hits Del Rio was a light bulb that fellow off the structure and sets up a table. The Big Show climbs up the entrance structure and drags Del Rio up with him. Show chokeslams Del Rio through the table. Del Rio gets to his feet as Del Rio crawls back to the ring. Show kicks Del Rio in the gut and Del Rio rolls back into the ring. Show signals for the WMD but Del Rio rolls out of the ring. Show grabs the steel steps and launches them at Del Rio’s head. Del Rio moves out of the way and Ricardo begins to hit Show. Show is speared through the time keepers area by Del Rio but The Big Show goes up.
Alberto begins to assault The Big Show with a steal chair. Show’s arm is trapped between the Steel Steps and a Chair. Alberto hits Show with CO2 from a fire extinguisher. Alberto has The Big Show in the armbreaker and Ricardo ducktapes The Big Show’s legs to the bottom rope. The Big Show cannot get to his feet and Alberto retains.
WINNER and STILL World Heavyweight Champion: Alberto del Rio
Alberto makes his way to the entrance way and celebrates. No cashing in from Dolph Ziggler.
Matt Striker is backstage with Dolph Ziggler and The Gang. Striker asks him about what happened on RAW. Dolph says that he is coming in as #1 because he is #1. AJ gets angry at Matt Striker for questioning Dolph. Big E. gets on the mic and impersonates Striker. Dolph Ziggler says that he will unify the WWE and World Titles at Wrestlemania.
A video is shown of several WWE Superstars talking about how they will win the Rumble. Antonio Cesaro, The Prime Time Players, Randy Orton, John Cena, Wade Barrett, Sheamus, and Ryback are shown.
Team Rhodes Scholars featuring Cody’s mustache make their way down to the ring for their title match.
Kane’s pyro goes off and Team Hell No make their way down to the ring, holding their gold.
WWE Tag Team Championship Match
Team Hell No vs Team Rhodes Scholars
Cody Rhodes and Daniel Bryan will start things off for their teams. Daniel hits Rhodes with a with a dropkick and then puts Rhodes in a surfboard submission move. Daniel tags in Kane and Cody gets hit with a dropkick to the face. Kane slams Rhodes faces into the turnbuckle but Rhodes fights back and tags in Sandow. Kane hits a bodyslam on Sandow and follows it up with an elbow. Kane tags in Daniel Bryan and he begins to kick Sandow in the chest. Kane is tagged back in and he boots Sandow in the face. Cody is tossed to the outside and Daniel Bryan hits a suicide dive. Sandow is finally able to get in control and puts the boots to Daniel. Cody is tagged back in and he locks in a single leg Boston Crab on Daniel. Daniel rolls up Cody for a two. Sandow is back in the ring and he hits his Elbow of Distain. Sandown begins to hits Daniel with several knees to the back before tagging Cody back in. Daniel hits Rhodes with a running dropkick and Cody tags in Sandow, who stops Daniel before he can make the tag.
Daniel hits Cody with a DDT and he is able to make the hot tag. Kane hits Sandow with a side slam and he goes to the top. The Big Red Flying Machine is stopped and Sandow hits Kane with a neckbreaker for two. Daniel makes a silent tag and hits Sandow with a missle dropkick. Daniel locks Damien in the No Lock and Sandow taps out.

A hype video for the Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View is shown.
The “By The Numbers” Royal Rumble Hype video is shown.
Backstage, Kane and Daniel Bryan are backstage and Vicki Guerrero gives them their Royal Rumble numbers. Kane and Daniel Bryan argue about their numbers.
A hype video for the Raw Roulette is shown.
The commentary team talk about the Royal Rumble Fanfest and introduce a video that shows Bo Dallas winning the NXT Tournament.
Justin Roberts is in the ring and announces the rules for the Royal Rumble match.
The Royal Rumble Match
Entrant #1: Dolph Ziggler
Dolph Ziggler makes his way down the ramp but AJ Lee and Big E. Langston stay behind. Dolph Ziggler gets on the mic and cuts a promo about how he will win the Rumble.
Entrant #2: CHRIS JERICHO!
The arena becomes unglued as Chris Jericho makes his return to the ring and Dolph Ziggler cannot believe it. Chris Jericho and Dolph Ziggler lock up in the middle of the ring. Jericho goes off the top rope and hits Ziggler with a double axe handle. Chris Jericho clotheslines Ziggler over the top but Ziggler hangs on.
Entrant #3: Cody Rhodes
Ziggler and Rhodes begins to put the boots to Jericho in the corner. They pick him up and try to lift him over the top rope. Y2J locks Rhodes in the Liontamer but Ziggler hits from behind to break it up.
Entrant #4: Kofi Kingston
Kofi springboards into the ring and hits Rhodes with a chop. Kofi goes for Trouble in Paradise on Ziggler but he moves. Kofi tosses Ziggler over the top rope but he hangs on.
Entrant #5: Santino Marella
Santino powers up and comes into the ring. He toss all four men out of the ring but they all hold on. Santino Cobra’s Kofi but Santino is tossed out and eliminated.
Entrant #6: Drew McIntyre
Drew comes out and goes after Rhodes and boots Kofi in the face. Kofi and Jericho try to eliminate Drew. Y2J is toss out but he is able to pull himself into the ring.
Entrant #7: Titus O’Neil
Titus comes in and clotheslines Kofi and Drew. He picks up Kofi and hits a backbreaker. Y2J hits the Triangle Dropkick and eliminates Drew McIntyre.
Entrant #8: Goldust
Cody Rhodes has a shocked look on his face as The Bizarre One comes into the ring. It’s Rhodes vs Rhodes in the middle of the ring. Goldust tries to eliminate Cody but he holds on.
Entrant #9: David Otunga
Otunga is quickly swatted down as he comes into the ring. Ziggler tries to eliminate Kofi but he skins the cat and gets back in the ring.
Entrant #10: Heath Slater
Slater comes in and puts the boots to David Otunga. Ziggler and Titus are trying to get Goldust of the ring. Ziggler is on the apron and is being punched by Jericho.
Entrant #11: Sheamus
He comes into the ring and hits multiple men with the Irish Curse before eliminating Titus and David Otunga.
Entrant 12: Tensai
Tensai goes right after Sheamus and those two men go toe to toe in the ring. Sheamus is trying to eliminate Heath Slater as Kofi is putting the boots to Ziggler.
Entrant #13: Brodus Clay
Brodus give his hat to a little kid before coming into the ring and headbutting Chris Jericho. Brodus and Tensai are fighting in the corner as Cody and Goldust are on the apron. Cody eliminates Goldust by ramming him into the steel post.
Entrant #14: Rey Mysterio
Rey goes after Ziggler and kicks him in the skull. Rey hits the 619 on both Ziggler and Jericho. Cody grabs Rey and tries to eliminate him as Sheamus and Kofi brawl with Tensai.
Entrant #15: Darren Young
Everyone in the ring gang up on Brodus Clay and eliminate him. Kofi eliminates Tensai. Ziggler tosses Kofi out of the ring but he lands on Tensai’s back, not eliminating himself. Kofi is standing on the spanish announces table as he begs JBL for his chair.
Entrant #16: Bo Dallas
Kofi uses JBL’s chair like a pogo stick and bounces back into the ring. Darren charges him but he is eliminated. Kofi is eliminated by Cody Rhodes
Entrant #17: The Godfather
Godfather comes into the ring but he is eliminated in 2 seconds by Dolph Ziggler.
Entrant #18: Wade Barrett
The Barrett Barrage comes down the aisle with his Intercontinental Title in his hands. He goes into the ring and goes after Y2J and Rey Mysterio. Sheamus is on the apron and Jericho is trying to eliminate him.
Entrant #19: John Cena
Cena and Ziggler are staring him down. Everyone in the ring begins to assault John Cena as he comes into the ring. Slater is eliminated, Cody is eliminated by John Cena. Jericho was about to be AA’ed out but Ziggler stops him.
Entrant #20: Damien Sandow
Sandow goes after Bo Dallas. Rey Mysterio is eliminated by Wade Barrett. Sheamus goes after Barrett and stomps him into the ground. Y2J has Cena in the Walls of Jericho
Entrant #21: Daniel Bryan
Daniel Bryan hits the Yes Kicks on Ziggler, Sandow, and Wade Barrett. Daniel tries to eliminate Y2J with the help of Sheamus but Jericho is able to hold on.
Entrant #22: Antonio Cesaro
Antonio and Sheamus begins to brawl as Bo Dallas tries to eliminate Dolph. Barrett hits Cena with a kick to the gut.
Entrant #23: The Great Khali
Khali comes into the ring and chops everyone in sight. Sheamus almost eliminated by Antonio Cesaro.
Entrant #24: Kane
Kane tries to eliminate Ziggler but he is able to hold on. Kane and Khali duel by the ropes as Sandow tries to eliminate Sheamus.
Entrant #25: Zack Ryder
Khali is eliminated and Daniel Bryan eliminates Kane. Daniel is throw out of the ring but Kane catches him. Kane drops him and Daniel Bryan is eliminated.
Entrant #26: Randy Orton
Randy Orton comes in and hits Ziggler and Zack Ryder with a powerslam. Orton grabs Ziggler and Bo and hits his Viper DDT on the ropes. RKO to Zack Ryder. Ryder is eliminated by Orton.
Entrant #27: Jinder Mahal
Antonio is trying to eliminate Cena but Cena turns it around and eliminates Cesaro. Mahal is assaulting Bo Dallas as Cena tries to eliminate Ziggler.
Entrant #28: The Miz
The Miz goes after Cesaro on the entrance way before make his way to the ring. Mahal is eliminated by Sheamus as The Miz hits Cena with his neckbreaker combo.
Entrant #29: Sin Cara
Cara goes right after Damien Sandow. Bo Dallas eliminates Wade Barrett and Barrett pulls Bo out of the ring, eliminating him before hitting him with the Bull Hammer.
Entrant #30: Ryback
Ryback pushes everyone away that tries to come after him. Ryback eliminates Sandow, Sin Cara, and The Miz. Jericho hits the Lionsault on Cena but Ziggler eliminates him with a Superkick. Sheamus and Orton are brawling in the ring. RKO to Ziggler and Cena and Sheamus. Viper DDT to Ryback. The Viper is on fire and is the only man standing as he pounds the mat. Ryback eliminates Randy Orton. Sheamus Brogue Kicks Ziggler out of the Rumble. It is down to Cena, Ryback and Sheamus. Ryback hits Cena with the Meat Hook. Sheamus hits Ryback with White Noise. Sheamus set up the Brogue Kick but Ryback counters and eliminates Sheamus. Its John Cena vs Ryback, the winner goes to Wrestlemania. John Cena locks Ryback in the STF. Ryback is down in the middle of the ring. John Cena lift him up and puts him on the top rope. Ryback powers through and slams Cena’s head to the mat. John Cena eliminates Ryback and the Chain Gang Commander is going back to Wrestlemania.
WINNER: John Cena
A hype video for Wrestlemania is shown.
The final hype video for The Rock vs CM Punk is shown. Their match is next.
Backstage, The Rock is interviewed by Josh Matthew as the crowd chants his name. The Rock sends Matthews packing and does his catchphrases while he delivers a promo about adversity.
CM Punk comes out first with The Walrus walking right behind him holding the championship for him. CM Punk says it’s clobbering time and he makes his way to the ring.
The Great One’s music hits and the crowd erupts in cheers.
Justin Roberts is in the ring and gives the champion and challenger their introductions.
WWE Championship Match
CM Punk (c) vs The Rock
The Rock and CM Punk start things off by trading punches until CM Punk hits kick. The Rock goes for a Rock Bottom but CM Punk fight out. Rock clotheslines Punk to the outside. Rock slams Punks head on the announce table. Punk kicks Rock in the gut and rolls Rock back into the ring. Back on the outside Rock sends Punk to the barricade. Heyman attack Rock which distract Rock enough for Punk to attack him from behind. They get back into the ring and Punk begins to knee Rock in the gut. Punk locks in a waistlock scissor submission. Punk knees Rock into the gut again as he build up a head of steam. Punk locks in another submission but The Rock will not quit. Punk takes The Rock off his feet with a knee to the face. Punk hangs The Rock up into the ropes and The Rock holds onto his midsection, selling the injury he took on Monday. Punk covers but he is only able to get 2. Punk with another kick to the gut and Punk takes Rock into the corner and hit more knees. Heyman punches The Rock as Punk is distracting the referee. Punk hits a Triangle Dropkick and Cole mentions Punk’s knee as he begins to sell it.
The Rock begins to attack Punk’s knee but Punk tosses The Rock to the outside. Punk crashes into Rock with a suicide dive. Punk is holding his knee s he rolls The Rock back into the ring. Punk goes for his springboard clothesline but misses. The Rock begins to stomp Punk and he hits a side Russian leg sweep. Rock goes for the Rock Bottom again but Punk dodges. Punk goes for the GTS but The Rock blocks it. Punk has The Rock locked in the Anaconda Vice. DDT by The Rock sends Punk to the mat. The Rock goes for the Rock Bottom again but he is caught in a crucifix by Punk. The Rock rolls through and locks in the Sharpshooter. Punk gets to the ropes and rolls out of the ring. On the outside, The Rock clotheslines Punk and clears out the Spanish Announce Table. The Rock puts Punk on the table but Punk pulls The Rock up. Punk tries to go for the Rock Bottom but the Spanish Announce Table collapses before anything can happen. Rock Bottom to Punk on the outside as the referee begins to count.
They get back into the ring and The Rock gets a two count. Punk drills The Rock with a kick to the skull and both men are down. Punk and Rock get to their feet and they begin to punch each other. Spinebuster by The Rock and he sets up for the People’s Elbow. Before The Rock can hit the move, the lights go out. The Shield attacks The Rock under the cover of darkness. Therefore, the match still continues. Punk lifts The Rock back into the ring and gets the win.
WINNER and STILL WWE Champion: CM Punk
CM Punk kicks The Rock out of the ring as he celebrates.
It’s not over folks, Vince McMahon comes out to strip CM Punk of the WWE Championship. The Rock gets on the mic and says that he wants the match restarted. Vince McMahon agrees and restarts the match
WWE Championship Match
CM Punk (c) vs The Rock
CM Punk goes into the corner and stomps The Rock with a fury. Punk hits his corner knee and goes up top and hits the Macho Drop. Punk signals for the GTS but The Rock reverses and hits a spinebuster. The People’s Elbow, and a 3 Count later, we have a NEW WWE Champion.
WINNER and NEW WWE Champion: The Rock
The Rock celebrates with his title as The Rock chants for their champion. The Rock poses on all four turnbuckles with the WWE Championship as the Royal Rumble goes off the air.
