Andre Pitre, By the time I was four years old, I knew I wanted to sing,” recalls Pitre. “My dad would play music constantly and I would listen incessantly. Then one day … the music was coming from me. It’s been that way every since.” Before he could utter a sentence, the talented kindergartner was the smallest yet most boisterous member of the church youth choir. As he belted out soul-wrenching solos on bended knee, he could barely reach the mic but he had no problem reaching the hearts of every teary-eyed listener in the audience. It wasn’t long before he became the singing staple performing at all family, school, and social events, “if there was a song to be sung, Andre was always there to sing it,” recalls a close childhood friend. Music was a major a part of the Pitre household and the game room was the musical Mecca. “Andre listened to my dad’s LPs all night long… Smokey, Sam Cooke, and later New Edition,” his younger brother Chad recalls
