Sadly, the 2nd ODI that Pakistan played against Sri Lanka had nothing to offer, as far as the visitors' exponents with the ball goes. Pakistan's bowling performance was so poor and lacked so much spunk that it would have tempted those five gentlemen, named above, to come back and don the green jersey. The only thing that might stop those gentlemen from doing so, is the fact that this line up still features some of the best bowlers in cricket, who are more than capable of bouncing back, and that is exactly what Misbah-ul-Haq will hope for in the 3rd ODI.
Sri Lanka on the other hand have come back strongly from a 1-0 deficit, to level the series at one a piece. The hosts played some good all round cricket in the 2nd ODI at Pallekele owing to a sensible innings by Tillakaratne Dilshan and a fantastic bowling effort by Thisara Perera. Mahela Jayawardene will want his side to keep the momentum going in this long series that feature five matches and will know that a win in the 3rd ODI, will put some serious pressure on the opponents.
